Brotherhood

The Brotherhood is a church group open to men of all ages.  The group meets the third Sunday of each month, from September through May.  The monthly meetings start at 8:00 a.m. and finish at around 9:00 a.m.  The Brotherhood is a service group that is funded through a portion of the fifth Sunday collections, donations, and Brotherhood meeting collections.  The group has officers who serve as president, vice-president, secretary, chaplain, and treasurer.  There are committees in the areas of special projects and investigations.  The meetings are organized around prayer; secretary and treasurer reports; old and new business; and a devotional.

One part of the work provided by the Brotherhood includes assistance to those who are determined to be in need.  Priority is given to those who attend church at CMBC or live in the local community, but the group also reaches out to mission work such as the Gideon’s, disaster relief, and other missionary groups.  Not all of the assistance provided is in the form of financial support, as members of the group perform service projects as needed.  The Brotherhood works with the WMU to sponsor certain church functions as well.
