Here's a little bit more about our Ladies Bible
Study from Linda Berry, who coordinates the program...
We welcome any of the women out there who want to get
to know their God better!!
Generally we participate in studies that have been written by Beth
Moore, Henry Blackaby, etc... These studies go anywhere from 6
weeks to 12 weeks long. We usually do these studies twice a year --
from January to April and then from August to November -- depending
on how long the study is.
The studies usually consist of workbooks to be used
by each participant. Participants have 5 days of "homework" and
then when we meet, there is a video presentation to watch that
expounds on our homework.
We meet on Sunday nights - 6pm to around 7:45pm - in
the Fellowship Hall.
(If there is enough interest, we can open up a daytime session on
Tuesday or Thursday mornings, too!)
The thing I LOVE about these studies is that I have
learned so much even though I have heard these stories all of my
life!! There are so many things I never knew that are in the
Bible. I asked God for a hunger for His Word and He delivered!! We
women meet on these nights and share prayer requests, feelings,
thoughts, experience, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it!! Being in
these studies also keep me in the Word - praise God!!
We also plan to do some road trips to Women's
Conferences, etc... more info on that later!
