"Train up a child
in the way he should go;
and when he is old, he will not depart from
it.
Proverbs 22:6
The Mission of the
Nursery is to begin the spiritual foundation in the lives of all
children entrusted to our care by providing a loving, caring and
safe environment for learning about God, Jesus and the Church.
The Vision of the
Nursery is to fulfill the Mission by providing learning activities
that focus on four of the basic ways in which children learn as the
“building blocks” in their spiritual foundation. These are:
curiosity, memory, humility and trust.
The Nursery is
designed to meet the needs of parents and children by providing a
safe, friendly and loving environment for babies and toddlers. The
infant nursery serves babies ages two weeks through age one. The
toddler nursery serves ages one through age four.
The Nursery is
staffed by volunteers dedicated to fulfilling the mission of the
nursery. All that is required to volunteer is a loving heart and a
desire to be part of laying the foundation in a child’s life.
Volunteering is a rewarding experience.
The Nursery is
open during the Sunday morning worship service and is provided
throughout the year for other services as needed.
